So There You Go

Full Moon (I wish we were at the one in Kirksville!)

I think the full moon really has an effect on people. Several of my classmates and I are having bad days. Then after class I talked to Jill and she too is having a rough day. Why else would we all be having crazy things happen?
You know what really makes me cranky? When I am literally walking out the door to go catch the bus and some salesperson is on the otherside and won't leave, causing me to miss said bus even after I have explained that I need to go to class. Then I proceed to drive to school and because it is snowing have to drive around for 20 minutes to find a parking place and walk 3 blocks in the snow to my building. Yes, this happened to me today. Arg.
My dog has relapsed on her potty training. Talk about frustrating. She went for a week with no accidents and was really good. That is no more. She pees everywhere! Today I was training her and told her to lay down, she partially does and next thing I know she is peeing on the floor right in front of me! What is up with that?!?
The 4 month old I baby-sit is really starting to wear on me. He cries a lot for no reason which I HATE. If it was my baby (or in any of the other families I baby-sit for that matter) I would be able to just put him in his crib and let him cry until he falls asleep when he is tired. It wouldn't hurt him. He's not in pain, he isn't wet or hungry, just tired and thus he will fall asleep when he is done crying. Besides, it's good for his little lungs.

I got the following from a forward today and quite enjoyed it. Some of the statements are a little strong, even for me. I do however agree with majority of them in at least some form. What is our country coming too?

Andy Rooney said on "60 Minutes" a few weeks back:

I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.

Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason. That is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE?

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.

I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off. When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.

I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!"

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else.

And if you don't like my point of view, tough. DON'T PASS IT ON.

I feel like an elephant is sitting on my shoulders. They, along with my jaw, are where I carry my stress. My shoulders are tight and my jaw won't stop popping/locking. I really need a hug.

T minus 43%

It's the end of the world as we know it. Ok, ok perhaps it isn't that drastic. Sadly it is close though! Lucy has punctured my computer power cord. My new one is on it's way from Dell, but I fear it won't be here before my computer dies. I think in the long run it will actually be good for me. I need to not be so addicted/depended on my computer/the internet. I should give it up for Lent. Hahahaha. No that won't be happening. But really I should limit myself to only using it for school purposes for a week or so. Scary! I'll have to think about it.
I'm extremely tired this week for some reason. Can't wait for the weekend to catch up on some sleep! I was getting quite frustrated when I was baby-sitting today. The 3 month old I watch is getting to the point where he won't nap without being held. His mother isn't helping the situation. It's annoying because I could be using the time that he is asleep to get some much needed homework done, but instead I'm forced to waste it watching tv because I can't put him down. Arg. I have the week of the 20th off from him, which will be nice to have some time to catch up on some stuff, but I will miss him!
Alright, I know this is short but we are down to 38% now and I need to be productive anyway!
